Capsugel is continually reviewing and improving our efforts to lessen our impact on the environment, nurture a workplace of diversity and inclusion, conduct responsible business practices, and uphold the highest ethical standards in everything from research and development to sales and marketing.
Capsugel colleagues conduct all Capsugel business in a lawful and ethical manner, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, the U.K. Bribery Act 2010 and similar anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation. These laws prohibit making, promising, or authorizing the making of a corrupt payment or providing anything of value to a government official to induce that official to make any governmental act or decision to assist a company in obtaining or retaining business. It is also against the policy of Capsugel for any Capsugel colleague to engage in commercial bribery.
Anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws also prohibit a company or person from using another company or individual to engage in any of the foregoing activities. As a result, Capsugel requires all of its consultants, agents and representatives, as well as companies acting on behalf of Capsugel (Business Associates) to conduct their Capsugel-related work in accordance with these principles. Business Associates may not directly or indirectly make, promise, or authorize the making of a corrupt payment or provide anything of value to any government official to induce that government official to make any governmental act or decision to help Capsugel obtain or retain business. Business Associates may never make a payment to or offer a government official any item or benefit, regardless of value, as an improper inducement for such government official to improperly benefit Capsugel’s business activities. It is also against the policy of Capsugel for any Business Associate to engage in commercial bribery.
